Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct credit investigations on existing and potential customers related to credit limit.
- Analyze and interpret information received from corporate financial statements, D&B, NACM, and other credit services to establish unsecured credit extension within assigned limits of authority.
- Daily review of orders on credit hold, releasing within authority and advising analysis above.
- Daily review of credit limits relating to exposure and risk based on updated available credit information.
- Requests credit hold for customers who have negative risk assessment, poor payment history, or past dues not yet resolved.
- Perform collection calls and account management within assigned portfolio.
- Reconcile short payments, discrepancies, and perform account reconciliations where needed.
- Timely follow up on disputes working with customer service and the sales force to resolve collection issues.
- Facilitate placement of accounts with collection agencies and escalated collection efforts as deemed appropriate.
- Process credit card payments.
- Cross Train into cash application.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Credit, accounts receivable experience preferred
- Strong computer skills – Office 365, SAP knowledge and experience a plus.
- Must have a strong understanding of credit concepts and able to work with many diverse customers.
- Ability to multi-task while working independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications skills.
